More than 40 artists are expected to Chalk the Chalk as passerbys Walk the Walk during this sidewalk BeachWalk larger-than-life chalk art canvas event. The event now in it’s forth year will be hosted by Clearwater Beach in Tampa Bay area Oct. 23-25.
The three-day event invites artists to hit the beach and put chalk to sidewalk as they bring their visions to life. The festival will run from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
“Some of these drawings are so realistic and detailed,” said organizer Michele Johnson in a recent interview with TBNWeekly. “I think this offers a unique opportunity to watch artists just starting, all the way to the end product. This is a great event for the community. It just keeps getting better and better each year.”
In addition to the chalk artists, more than 30 plus vendors will feature their art and crafts just in time for the holiday season.
Kids can participate in chalkboard activity while live music plays for attendees during a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Visual Arts Scholarship and the Visual Arts Program of Pinellas County School District.
