The Brewery Arts Complex was an operating brewery from 1897 through 1979. The 16-acre lot became the world’s largest arts complex in 1982 and later established the first publicized Art Walk in LA.

1. Paradox Iron Works: most likely used in 1894 to support the LA Railroad. Paradox Lake at Schroon River N.Y. was known for its rich supply of iron ore. 2. Close up of Paradox Iron Works door, not much has changed in 100+ years. 3. Pabst Beer takeover of East Side Brewing Company in 1936. 4. Contemporary artwork by resident artist Angie Jones. 5. Edison Electric Plant: built on the property in 1901 housed three of the largest steam to electricity generator of its day. 8.
